Sarah Venart writes poetry, fiction and non-fiction. Her work has been published in Grain, Queen’s Quarterly, This Magazine, The New Quarterly, The Malahat Review, The Fiddlehead, Books in Canada, Matrix, Prism International and other publications. Her awards include This Magazine’s Great Canadian Literary Hunt and the CBC/QWF Short Story Award. She has received fellowships to attend writing retreats in Canada, Europe and the U.S. Venart lives in Montreal with her husband and daughter. She teaches literature and creative writing at John Abbott College.
