Sus­tain­abil­i­ty and cre­ativ­i­ty are the two prin­ci­ple val­ues of Alexan­drine Capol­la Beau­re­gard. She holds a deep rev­er­ence for the nat­ur­al world, from which she draws her method­ol­o­gy and inspi­ra­tion. Hav­ing dis­cov­ered and nur­tured her unwa­ver­ing love for tex­tiles ear­ly on, she cul­ti­vates a slow and gen­tle approach to cre­ation as a silent protest to the ever dam­ag­ing and exploita­tive prac­tices of the mod­ern world and the fast fash­ion indus­try. She is the co-founder of Gaude et Garance, an arti­sanal ate­lier pro­mot­ing the sus­tain­able use of local fibres and nat­ur­al dyes.
