Translation Rights Fair

To be eligible to apply for a partial contribution for travel costs from the Canada Council for the Arts, you must :

• be an anglophone or francophone publisher based in a province outside of Quebec.
• be a recipient of annual or multi-year funding through the Canada Council for the Arts Block Grant or the Department of Canadian Heritage’s Canada Book Fund.
• participate in a minimum of 6 meetings during the Translation Rights Fair.

If you meet the above criteria, you will be eligible to receive the following contributions from the Canada Council for the Arts (within the maximum amount offered, based on your point of departure (see below):

• 50% of your travel expenses.
• 50% of your accommodation expenses for one night in Montreal and up to two nights for publishers traveling from west of Winnipeg or from the Maritimes.
• Meals.

Maximums rates offered based on point of departure :

• Victoria - $675
• Vancouver - $675
• Calgary / Edmonton - $600
• Saskatoon / Regina - $600
• Winnipeg - $475
• Sudbury - $325
• Toronto - $325
• Ottawa - $225
• Moncton - $525
• Halifax - $525
• St. John's - $600

Please note that the above rate based on your point of departure is the maximum amount you are eligible to receive for your travel, accommodation, and meal expenses. The above rates are per person. A maximum of two people from the same company can apply to receive a partial contribution.
