Cecilia Szperling (Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a writer and journalist and a member of the National Institute Against Discrimination, Xenophobia and Racism (INADI).
She has published the books El futuro de los artistas (Ediciones de la Flor, 1997); Relatos (1997), which was awarded the Fundación Antorchas prize; Selección natural (Adriana Hidalgo, 2006), which was a finalist for the Clarín prize and was translated into English and published in the UK as Natural Selection (Aflame Books, 2009); La máquina de proyectar sueños (Interzona, 2016) and El año de la militancia verde (ebook, Bajalibros, 2019). She is also the anthologist and wrote the prologue for the interview collections Confesionario 1 and 2 (Eudeba).
Her short stories, columns and chronicles have been published in Página/30, Verano/12, Clarín Cultural, Cronista Cultural, Con V de Vian, and more.
Currently, she teaches creative writing at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) and Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO).
As a cultural manager, she is the creator, curator and host of the literary cycles Lecturas + música, Confesionario, historia de mi vida privada and Libro marcado, and she was the Literature curator of the national cultural convention Encuentro Federal de la Palabra.
She has also been invited to deliver lectures at several national and international universities and institutions, such as the Frankfurt Book Fair, Colombia Book Fair, Amsterdam University and University of Pittsburgh, among others.
